| ALESSA
Records was founded in 2004.
After 30 years of experience in the music industry Peter
Guschelbauer decided to launch a label with music of
the highest quality.
The name "Alessa Records" derives from the
nickname of Peter Guschelbauer's daughter, 18 months
old at the time of launch. |

Peter Guschelbauer, the owner of Alessa
Classica, is looking back on 35 years experience
in the music business and went through many developments.
As a musician he started to learn flute at the age of
6 years and with 8 he started with piano lessons. The
terribly conservative education in the early sixties
was not very motivating, but he could stand it for at
least 7 years. As he heard for the first time the guitar
of Jimi Hendrix it was over with the classical education,
a guitar was needed... |
|
| His heart belongs till today Jazz and Blues, Rock and
ethnic music. |
| A first reconciliation with classical music took place
in the early nineties, as he recorded some productions
with classical trained musicians for his label PG Records,
and he realised that there was growing up a completely
new generation of musicians, which were interested in
many different musical stiles and did not see their only
right to exist in reproducing music that is sometimes
much more then 200 years old. |
| With the purchase of a new BÖSENDORFER
concert grand piano we will broaden our horizon
and produce and market classical music, especially music
of the 20th century. |
